William Knibb Memorial High School is the only traditional Co-Ed High School in the parish of Trelawny and was founded in 1961 even though history shows that it existed since the 1800s as an all girls institution. It is located right outside of Falmouth in the community of Martha Brae on Carib Road on a beautiful and lush green campus. It has excelled academically since it's inception and also in sports as it has produced Olympians in the likes of Michael Green and the great Usain bolt. William Knibb's best finish in the coveted Dacosta Cup was a finals berth against Russeas Comphrensive High in 2001 in a game which William Knibb lost by one goal to nill. It has however been said that the 1982 team was the best team ever which beat Cornwall College twice that year but lost in the semi-finals to Titchfield High who eventually lost to Cornwall College in the finals that year!
