Jamaica Alumni Football Tournament 2024 - Message from the Director

Dear Football Fans,

Welcome to the Jamaica All Schools (Alumni) Football Tournament. For another year.Our tournament will feature some of our well-known and exciting players from the 1970's, 80's, 90's and 2000's.

The featured teams are, Defending U45 Champions Charlie Smith High School, led by Eugene ‘Mutt’ Barnes andOver45 Champions and many time winners, Camperdown High School, taking orders from captain and tournament MVP, Adonis ‘Danny’ Maxwell.

Seasoned campaigners Clarendon College, Herbert Morrison Technical, Dunoon Technical High, Edwin Allen, will also be seeking their first lien on the coveted Jamaica Alumni Football Tournament (JAFT) Championship trophy. Former Champions Jamaica College along with Kingston College, St Andrew Technical, Munro College, Excelsior High School, Cornwall College and Dinthill Technical High School, round out the competition.

Format :

This year, we will once again feature two divisions, Over 45 Masters and Under 45 Open, alongside the very popular Youth festivalwith as many as eight (80 teams down to participate over the weekend. The top two (2) teams from each group/zone will advance to the play-off round.

On ‘Championship Sunday’, June 30, the tournament will pause to remember Alfred ‘Al’ Simms, Entrepreneur, Community Organizer and Philanthropist, who transitioned earlier this year. Using his Bronx-based CPA Enterprise as a backdrop, ‘Daddy’ Simms was a fixture on the sidelines at the Evander Childs High School Stadium, home of the Bronx New York International Soccer League (BNYISL) and Van Cortlandt Park, where his Bronx Youth Soccer team was headquartered.

“We strive to run an efficient, fair and quality tournament. we are asking all managers, coaches, players, and fans to be on your best behavior while in the public space and to observe all safety and health-related protocols at this time.
