Clennon Clarke ‘Elder’, T.D

All-DaCosta Selection

Clennon ‘Elder’ Clarke is a happy camper as he continues to identify with his ‘all -rural’ football roots. Clarke was a member of Vere Technical 1976 DaCosta Cup and Olivier Shield championship teams. The following year – 1977 – he was named captain. After the 1977 season, he stayed on to assist legendary coach Bap Campbell thru’ the ’78 and ’79 campaigns. Moving on from Clarendon, Clarke played with much success across the town and country.

He won the Bob West title with Uniques FC, won the KSAFA Minor League crown with Harbour View, the KSAFA Major (Premier) League with Harbour View, played in the CONCACAF Regional competition with Harbour View, and has suited up for other outfits including; Meadhaven, Westland, Hazard, Israel, Galaxy Clarendon Parish 1X, KSAFA, Casagrande Jamaica selection and Westmoreland Parish. Moving to the USA, ‘The Elder’ has paraded his skills for Upsetters FC, Caribbean United, Buffalo, New Lots, Real Caribe and Baisley Masters. This is not his first go-around, leading the All-DaCosta selection, however, a win would be another colorful feather in his growing collection of accolades.
